I apologize for the long gap between President’s Posts. It’s been over a year since my last one, but time flies!
I’m thrilled to welcome Arizona Copper Federal Credit Union (ACFCU), its members, and staff to American Southwest Credit Union (ASCU). On July 9th, ACFCU members overwhelmingly voted in favor of a partnership with ASCU. (This is a more positive term than “merger.”)
Together, we’ll be stronger. ACFCU’s knowledge of the mining industry, especially valuable in Thatcher, Safford, and Morenci, will greatly benefit us. This partnership expands our reach into Pinal and Gila counties, allowing us to serve more Arizonans.
We can also empower ACFCU members. Previously, ACFCU couldn’t offer home, business, or agricultural loans, IRAs, or Money Market Accounts. This partnership creates a win-win situation for everyone.
I’m honored ACFCU chose ASCU, recognizing our shared values. We’re also excited to soon offer assistance with creating Wills and Trusts – a valuable service for many members. We strive to be your financial partner, providing products and services you need. We’re constantly seeking ways to better serve your day-to-day financial needs.
The Board of Directors and I firmly believe ASCU can always improve. We push each other to make your credit union the best it can be. The future is bright!
