What is Zelle®?
Zelle® is a convenient way to send and receive money with friends, family and others you trust. You can send money to people you know and trust through your bank or credit union’s mobile app or online banking.
Do I need to download a separate Zelle® app?

No. You can use Zelle® directly through your bank or credit union’s mobile app or online banking.

Does the person I’m sending money to need to use Zelle®?

No. The person you’re sending money to does not need to use Zelle®. They only need to have a U.S. checking or savings account to receive the money.

How long does it take to receive money with Zelle®?
Money sent with Zelle® is typically available to an enrolled recipient within minutes.
If your recipient is not enrolled with Zelle®, they will receive a notification prompting them to enroll to receive your payment.
Can I cancel a payment?

Payments can’t be canceled if the recipient is already enrolled with Zelle®.
If the recipient is not yet enrolled, you may be able to cancel the payment. Please check your bank or credit union’s mobile app or online banking for cancellation options.

Is Zelle® safe?

Zelle® is a great way to send money to friends, family and others you trust.
Money is sent directly from one bank account to another. Because of this, it’s important to only send money to people you know and trust.

Who can use Zelle®?

To use Zelle®, the sender and recipient must have a U.S.-based checking or savings account.

Are there fees to use Zelle®?

Your bank or credit union does not charge fees to use Zelle®.
However, your mobile carrier’s message and data rates may apply.

What types of payments can I use Zelle® for?

Zelle® is intended for sending money to friends, family and others you trust.
Zelle® should not be used for the purchase of goods or services from people you don’t know.
