Amazon Scam Alert!

It’s the old “Your Account has Been Blocked” scam again. If you receive an email suggesting your account has been blocked, Stop. Think. Do not react.  Amazon wants you to shop.  Why would they block your account? It is not profitable for them to block your dollars from their site.  So if you’ve received an email or text that says your account was blocked, ignore it.  Go directly to the website (amazon.com) and log into your account that way. Do not use the app. Do not share your screens, do not share passwords, pin numbers or verification codes.  Once you have logged in to the legitimate amazon website, you can either do your shopping there to see if it is blocked or contact their customer care center through that site.  Scammers are getting pretty savvy – We need to be savvy too!
